Who are we?
Catholic Family Services of Durham was incorporated in 1983 as a not for profit agency to offer professional counselling and educational programs aimed at strengthening individuals and families. We assist our local parishes to develop caring communities through parish based social ministry programs. We work cooperatively with other community organizations to improve the quality of life in Durham Region.

Our Mission
To strengthen the emotional and social functioning of individuals and families in Durham Region through counselling, prevention and education.
Catholic Family Services of Durham was incorporated as a non-profit agency in 1983 to provide inclusive services to anyone in Durham Region. We view our work as an expression of our Catholic values and commitment to Christian charity.
The agency offers professional counselling as well as educational programs designed to improve the interpersonal skills of individuals and the quality of family and community life.
We assist victims of family violence to obtain protection and safety and to strengthen their lives. We also work collaboratively with other community organizations and parishes and develop preventive programs to reduce the incidence of family violence.
We undertake community development work with interested parishes in our local pastoral zone to facilitate the development of caring communities and Parish Social Ministry Programs
